The other day we got an e-mail about new e-mail software being installed to our university computers. Here is an excerpt:
[…] features include:
* Multiple personalities
* Access to other email accounts […]

Multiple personalities? I thought people paid to psychoanalysts to get rid of these!? And here is psychiatry and psychology trying to find out where schizophrenia comes from… I bet they haven’t thought of this… “Are you sure you want to install multiple personalities?” Do these other e-mail accounts belong to your other personalities or to your original personality?

Anyhow, this gives a new meaning to the words “e-mail client”: an e-mail client is clearly someone who developed multiple personalities as a result of accessing other e-mail accounts and is now a client of a psychoanalyst.

Dear university, I’ll stick with mutt, if it is all the same to you…
